LEO MEMBER JACK FUNDRAISER FOR PROSTATE CANCER

At Leo, we are incredibly proud to support our member Jack in his mission to raise money for prostate cancer. Jack's motivation comes from a deeply personal place—his father, Steve, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer last year.

Jack shares, "Last year my dad, Steve, was diagnosed with prostate cancer. It came as quite a shock, especially as he didn't have any notable symptoms. He was lucky that, following some nagging from my mum (!), he caught it in time before it became a major issue. Following an operation last autumn, he has made a recovery."

Steve has been an inspiration, spreading awareness and information about prostate cancer both on television and in person. His work, alongside organisations such as Prostate Cancer UK, is changing lives and the way prostate cancer is viewed.

Motivated by his father's swift action, Jack decided he couldn't just sit idly by. "This got me thinking... what could I do?! Given dad's experience of swift action being of utmost importance, I didn't want to sit around on this for too long!"

On September 14th, Jack will be taking part in a 100km (62 mile) Ultra Marathon event called the Thames Path Challenge. The route from Putney along the Thames path to Henley holds significant sentimental value, as the home stretch is quite literally a home stretch for Jack. He says, "Dad has run marathons in the past, so this felt quite fitting."

Jack has never attempted anything like this before, making it a true physical and mental battle. Your support means a great deal, and the money raised will be going to an excellent cause.

Let's rally around Jack as he embarks on this incredible journey to make a difference. You can support Jack's fundraising efforts by donating to his GoFundMe page here.
